Procedure
1. Mix cow dung and cow urine in the water. Use
plastic can or an earthen pot.
2. Use wooden stick for mixing the ingredients.
The stick should be moved clockwise while mixing so that positive energy is
circulated in the mixture.
3. Put neem leaves and stir it in clock wise.
4. Stir the solution clockwise using a wooden
stick 2 times a day for 1-2 min for 2 days.
5.
Do not cover the pot. Ammonia will generate, so
let it go.
6. After 48 hours filter the solution. The
solution will look like coffee colour.
Usage
The
solution should be sprayed on the infected plants using foliar spray.
Note:
· Do not cover
the pot. Ammonia will generate So cover it with a wire mesh or plastic mosquito
net to prevent houseflies from laying eggs and the formation of maggots (worms)
in the solution.
· Fresh Cow Dung & Cow's Urine
should be from Local Cows and
not from cross-bred or foreign breeds.
· The pesticide should be kept in the
shade
Five Leaf Extract/Aindhu ilai karaisal
Aindhu ilai karaisal or Bio-astra is made from the leaves of medicinal plants.
Bio-astra is an effective prophylactic measure to prevent insect infestation.

Note - Can also use leaves of Malabar Nut (Adathoda in Tamil), Andrographis paniculata or Kalmegh (Siriyanangai in Tamil), Clerodendron (Peenarisanghu in Tamil) and Usil (Arappu in Tamil).
Method of Preparation :
1. Make a paste of any of the five leaves mentioned above and dissolve it in 5 Litres Cows Urine.
2. The mixture is then diluted in 5 Litres of Water.
3. Keep this undisturbed for 5 days.
Method of Storage
The pesticide should be kept in the shade and covered with a wire mesh or plastic mosquito net to prevent houseflies from laying eggs and the formation of maggots (worms) in the solution. This is applicable during the preparation as well as during the shelf life of the pesticide as well.
Usage:
Spray System - The pesticide can be applied as a foliar spray. Dilute 500 ml of the pesticide with 10 Litres of water before applying. Spray it on leaves (covering the underside of the leaves too), as common pests like aphids attack stem and leaves. Spraying Panchagavya on the soil bed would have prevented pest attacks on the roots.
Agniastra Preparation
Agniastra is a very powerful missile against pests like leaf roller, stem borer, fruit borer & pod borer. The solution can be prepared inhouse by the farmers.

When to Use?
|
Generally, the ideal time for spraying is during 6 am to 8.30 am and between 4 pm and 6.30 pm.

Materials required:
1. Cow urine (go mutra)
2. Crushed leaves of Tobacco @ 25g per litre of cow urine.
3. Deshi hot green chilli pulp @ 25g per litre of cow urine.
4. Deshi garlic pulp @ 12.5g per litre of cow urine.
5. Crushed neem leaves (with thin stems) or neem seed powder @ 100g per litre of cow urine.
Procedure :
1. Mix all the ingredients in a earthen pot. Use wooden stick for mixing the ingredients. The stick should be moved clockwise while mixing so that positive energy is circulated in the mixture.
2. Boil the solution.
3. Cover the pot with gunny bag or poly net. Tank should be in shade and ensure the tank is not exposed to direct sunlight or rain water. Let the mixture ferment for 48 hours.
4. Stir the solution clockwise using a wooden stick 2 times a day for 1 min.
5. After 48 hours filter the solution and and store agniastra in bottle.
Usage:
The solution should be sprayed on the infected plants. For foilar spray use 3% agniastra with water. If the infestation is high then you can use 4% solution. For 1 acre mix 6 to 8 litres of agniastra with 200 litres of water and spary on the plants.
Note:
Crush the neem leaves & tobacco leaves using sil-batta (baton).
Make chilli pulp & garlic pulp using sil-batta (baton).
Use cow urine of desi cows only.
